85. To Further Add to My Identity Crisis

I ordered these today. I've been thinking about them since that trip to Bouse, AZ.

Aside from skinny jeans, I have no idea what I'm going to wear with them. My wardrobe is more preppy than hippy. Granted, it didn't used to be. I did go to school in Eugene. I also have no real idea why I've been so obsessed with them. But I've been torturing friends with stupid conversations about them and finally just did it. They're supposed to be here Friday. I'll be spending the weekend not packing, but trying to put together outfits that don't look ridiculous...

84. I Like This

83.

Lucy had her oncologist appointment yesterday. We were a little nervous because, well, because we're always a little nervous, but especially nervous because a dark red spot appeared on her lower stomach Saturday night. I, of course, assume the worst - skin cancer. Dr Macy was a little concerned and wanted to check her platelet level and talked about hematomas and sub something or other and more doctor mediciny stuff.

We also talked about being gone again this summer. He didn't realize she was going to be away for so long. I would say that he's cautiously optimistic about keeping her in remission, but will send us off next month with meds to get her through the summer and her complete medical record in the event something happens.

Other than that, the appointment was pretty standard. He gave her an A on her labs. The spot is just some sort of bruise and isn't skin cancer. The techs had stories about Lucy dancing around and the cintronella bark collar "refreshing" the back. I couldn't tell if they were entertained or annoyed. We started bringing that after the first visit when they commented on the noise she makes when she's left alone. Bad etiquette apparently. I like to think she's just expressive.
